UPGRADING OF FLAMINIO–ACQUA ACETOSA RAILWAY TUNNEL TO COMPLY WITH RAILWAY STANDARDS

The project aimed to bring the tunnel connecting Flaminio station to Acqua Acetosa station on the Rome–Viterbo railway line up to current railway standards.
The intervention involved installing a pedestrian walkway positioned 1.20 meters from the rail level, designed to fit the track geometry in both directions. The walkway’s supporting structure is made of steel, consisting of beams supported either by struts or pillars, depending on the section, with a folded metal sheet serving as a lost formwork for the reinforced concrete cast.
