The building housing the “FilCoSpe” Department (Philosophy, Communication, and Performing Arts), formerly the Niccolò Tommaseo elementary school and now owned by Roma Tre University, was designed by architect Vincenzo Fasolo and constructed between 1924 and 1930.
The structure was expanded between 1935 and 1937 with the addition of spaces for teaching and education, effectively bringing the building to its current volume. Later, during the 1990s, the building underwent further functional adjustments in preparation for its transfer to Roma Tre University.
The activities carried out included the evaluation of safety levels of the existing structures, first in their current configuration (Ante-Operam) and subsequently in the configuration resulting from the structural interventions necessary for seismic improvement as part of the restoration and conservation project for the building (Post-Operam).
The main interventions included:
Tecnitalia Engineering S.r.l.

Rome, Italy
Safety level assessment and executive design of structural interventions for static adaptation and seismic improvement.
